Data policy

Aggregate statistics are published free for everyone. We may license aggregate statistics or aggregate API access commercially, with the same suppression rules applied. Individual address-level records are never sold, shared or licensed to anyone, at any price.

What is published

Public rent pages use ONS statistics and clearly separated community aggregates. A community figure appears only when at least five contributions exist; a building figure also needs at least three distinct unit identifiers. No individual property rent, address, UPRN or full postcode is published.

What is collected

A voluntary rent contribution includes the full property address, postcode, size, rent, provenance and receipt hash so we can improve building-level analysis. It has no name, email or account link. Exploratory rent searches remain separate and store only outcode, size, a coarse rent band and time. Account data is separate again and is used only for the features the account holder chooses.

Sharing choices

A comparison share link contains only the outcode when provided, property sizes, costs and inclusion choices. It never contains an address, listing URL, UPRN, EPC certificate detail or contribution row. The browser extension does not read page content or transmit pasted text.
